It's been so enjoyable to spend more time with the kids since they've been out of school. I'll have to post new pictures soon - they are getting so big!
At 9 and 7, Yogi and Bella are starting to ask some deep questions...whew! I'm not quite sure I'm ready with some good answers. But I have a feeling answers are not what is important. It's fun to have some good conversations. I'm finding out they know more than I thought.
Despite all of the work our family's been doing in the yard, we've been able to spend a lot of fun-time outside too - walking around the pond, taking bike rides, and shooting some hoops. I have a nice warm fuzzy feeling that this is just the start of the great family memories we'll have the chance to make.
Little Red is enjoying having the big kids around more the last couple of weeks. She's so happy when they agree to play 'babies' with her. And she's growing too...in so many ways. Last summer when we would take her swimming, she would cling to me. This summer, at the 'big kid' age of 3, she back-floats by herself in her little life jacket yelling "yet me go mommy, yet me go - I can do it myself!"
I love summer.
